I signed up for Gather: hoping to see articles on education that would be useful in the class also to see what like minded people were posting. I found my first visits disappointing. When I checked out the teachers lounge post ( hoping to get everything your always wanted to know when the principal is not listening) and saw a picture of an old school bus and nothing of use one the site I decided to revisit later. found the site to be too busy too many ads and a little too left politically for my taste, in closing half of the postings on the home page were in French or Portuguese or something which made them totally worthless.
